September 2018 Young Stock Show
Well the WMGA Young Stock show was another first time success with 12 exhibitors benching some 60 birds, and other prospective attendees cancelling at the last minute due to ill health or birds still very much in the moult.
A big thank you goes out once more for the support of all attendees, especially the Novices who i hope came away from the event with some of the advice given by the judges, and of course to Gary Hunter our trusted provider of staging transport.
It was good to see Craig and Jackie Biddle back after their recent set backs; welcome back guys good to see you in fine form.
Birds benched ranged from truly nest feather to finished young, giving Paul & Graham something to ponder on.
Best on display was a truly well presented Buff Corona benched by John Cronin, who the judges also decided benched the Best Consort. Novices challengers were led in by Corona and Consort benched by Gary Hunter of Evesham;
There were birds on display from both Novice and Champion that look to be able to provide serious contenders for top prizes on the show circuit. Good Luck to all during October - December shows.
Finally a big thank you to Paul & Graham for giving up their time to pass judgement on the birds, WMGA offer their sincere thanks and appreciation and offer an apology for leaving you on you own for a while when we had "other business to sort".
